Sevior Stress and Adjustment Disorder
This category differs from others in that the stressful event or the continuing unpleasantness of circumstances is the primary and overriding casual factor, and the disorder would not have occurred without its impact.
Hysteria
Dissociative (conversion) disorder, popularly known as hysteria. The common theme shared by these disorders is a partial or complete loss of the normal integration between memories of the past, awareness of identity and immediate sensations, and control of bodily movements. There is normally a considerable degree of conscious control over the memories and sensations that can be selected for immediate attention, and the movements that are to be carried out. This category contains disorders like fugue states, trance and possession disorders, dissociative convulsions, multiple personality disorders etc.
Hypochondriasis Disorder
The essential feature is a persistent preoccupation with the possibility of having one or more serious and progressive physical illness. Patients manifest persistent bodily complaints or persistent preoccupation with their physical appearance.
Sexual Preference Disorder
Fetichism, transvestism, exhibitionism, voyeurism, paedophilia, sadomasochism.
Sexual Development and Orientation Disorder
These may be associated with heterosexuality or homosexuality. Sexual maturation disorder, egodystonic sexual orientation, sexual relationship disorder.
Psychogenic Sleep Disorders
Psychogenic sleep disorder include insomnia (lack of sleep), Hypersomnia (excessive sleep), sleep walking, sleep terrors and nightmares.
